This is a unique hex-shaped lamp. ## Key Details Don't expect to print and assemble it instantly! You may need to regenerate the design multiple times to find the perfect layer/brightness settings for your filament. Also, keep in mind that this model doesn't come with a built-in light source. The scad file can generate a blank lid, but you'll need to create a holder for the lid based on your lighting options. ## Remixing and Getting Help If you want to remix this design or need assistance, please use my GitHub project to ask questions or submit pull requests. I typically receive notifications faster through this channel: https://github.com/tg44/3d-tools-and-things/blob/master/hexlamp/hexlamp.scad ## Printing Instructions After adjusting the scad file settings and generating your stl, set the top layer height to a high number (like 5000). Also, use the wall width and layer height values you used to generate the file. This will give you a lithophane-like print setting that requires no supports! However, you can speed up the print by adjusting the inner/outer wall settings; my printer took around 5 hours to complete the uploaded stl. ## Acknowledgments The concept for this lamp originated from the Hidden Honeycomb Light Box created by 3D Print Project Athens.
