This tool aids in removing the lens retaining ring on a HexBright FLEX flashlight, similar to the official HexBright FLEX Tool. It features a lip that prevents direct contact between plastic and TIR lens, avoiding scratches. Additionally, it makes replacing the retaining ring easier by preventing tool slippage. Interestingly, the official tool lacks this feature. The SCAD model is fully parametric and customizable for other flashlights with retaining rings. To use, print and attach to the HexBright FLEX business end; twist counter-clockwise without excessive force. Tested successfully with 340 micron layers, but smaller layers are also effective.
