Hexatile: Modular Wall System

Hexatile: Modular Wall System

Almost three years of dedication have gone into printing these tiles from the last remaining filament on the spool. It's taken a substantial amount of time to gather enough material to create something truly worthy of display. This project was sparked by the Veil Modular Partition System I stumbled upon at a MOMA store in San Francisco several years ago, and the stark contrast of cinder block walls in my basement. To connect these tiles, I designed them with nodes that can accept 5/16" clear flexible tubing. I cut tubing connectors to around 0.5-0.625" and inserted them into the holes, allowing for versatile connections in either direction. For wall mounting, I employed command strips where additional support was needed. Feel free to experiment and share your results with pictures.
