Why bother buying a lamp when you can build one yourself? This is a nice lamp that uses a standard E27 bulb, which is actually an LED 7.5W model. You're free to use any LED bulb that fits inside, but keep in mind that using anything else could cause the shade to melt due to excessive heat. The design was printed with PLA without any support, although if you can manage it, using some support material, especially for both arm sections, will give you a better-looking result. To print this lamp, use 20% infill at most, as you want the parts to be relatively light. However, for nuts and bolts, use 40% infill instead. Fusion360 files are included if you want to modify any of the lamp's components - I'd love to see your finished project, so please share it with me! In this version, a standard LED bulb was used for simplicity's sake. You'll also need to attach the base to a surface using some sort of clamp, as there is a large screw on top that can be tightened or loosened depending on whether you want the lamp to stay in one position or rotate freely. For the next version, I plan to add some smart features such as an LED strip (RGBWW WS2812 - Neopixel), NodeMCU (WiFi), sensors, and a self-standing base that doesn't require a clamp. There's already space for an LED strip inside this design. **Edit: 22.05.2019** I'm currently testing the v1 prototype, which you can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeB1Qu-L__M When connecting or mounting anything to the mains, be careful - it's a high-voltage area and requires caution. If you're unsure about how to do it safely, just buy a lamp or ask an electrician for help. The design was printed on a Prusa i3 MK3 with 0.2 layer height, using infill settings of 20-40%, without any support (as mentioned earlier). The material used is PLA.
