Hexagram, Hexagonal Star, Hexagon Puzzle
cults3d
This is about a 12-piece dissection of a hexagram that starts with a regular hexagon. One can construct a hexagram by connecting the diagonals and further dissecting it into 12 pieces as shown in this diagram. The dissected hexagram can be reassembled into three congruent small hexagrams. This dissection is an excellent project for K-12 students and teachers to learn about 3D design ideas. For maximum visual effect, the inner parts are five millimeters thick; the outer pieces are three millimeters high. The entire star has a radius of sixty millimeters. Have fun exploring!
