These joints let you build custom hexagonal trellises for giving the plants in your garden a little support.They're designed to fit ¼" wood dowel rods (I used these from Amazon), but they can easily be modified to fit other sizes with the included F3D/STEP files just by changing the “rod_diameter” parameter. You can also change the “angle” parameter to make more than hexagons. In my case, the rods snap fitted, but I was using a 0.6mm nozzle at 0.40mm layer height, and your mileage might vary, so you might want to use a little glue.You can add vertical support rods on each of the 6 corners of the hexagon by using only “T” joints, but my plants are small enough that I only put vertical support on 3 corners and used a mix of “T” and “L” joints.For easy printing, one side is kinda flat. Make sure you print them with that side down.If you use these models, don't forget to share a pic of your plants! :)
