This knife holder can be mounted onto walls. It uses either gravity or magnets to hold the knife. All parts can be printed without support except for the ball. Best layer-height is 2.5mm.GravityThe gravity one totally depends on the quality of the ball inside. Normal PLA or other hard materials won't work. I used TPU for it and it works. But it didn't need to be a printed ball. Every 15mm+- ball made of rubber or similar should do. Its important that the knife surface can grab to it an suqeeze in the slot.To stick the knife in, just shove it in from below and then slightly pull it down until it sticks.MagnetThe magnet version has 3 compartments for magnets up to 10x10x5mm. You can test how many you need before assembly. For my small knife one 10x10x4mm magnet did the job.AssemblyThe wallmount can be screwed onto a wall using 4mm scews. The honeycomb is glued to the faceplate. Then the faceplate simply snaps onto the wallmount to cover the mounting holes.Multiple HoldersIf you like to use multiple holder you could simply print as many as you want and arrange them. Or if you like to save screws I uploaded different types of wallmounts with multiple segments.Other usesIf you scale the print up by 150% or 200% you may also use it in your workshop to hold on japanese saws for example.
