Hexagon Paint Pattern Template
thingiverse
This thing was made by using Tinkercad. It's designed for quick and fast use as a template to spray different colors of camouflage onto an object, breaking up its original shape in the process. Created to be printed from more flexible plastic that can contour various shapes of military equipment such as a helmet or water bottle. To reduce shine when spraying and camouflaging an object, it's recommended to use low gloss or matte spray paint. Apply a light base layer of a lighter color and use this hexagon template to break up the other colors. Spray a light coat of your chosen color and adjust the template height from the object as needed. The closer the template is to the object, the stronger the shape of the hexagons will show up on the object being painted. Different colors of the natural area you are camouflaging into are recommended, as they will assist in blending with the environment. Spraying less is best, and repeating the process should result in a pattern that, if painted correctly, makes the object look somewhat distorted, aiding it to become less identifiable than it first was.
