Hexagon Frame Ballpoint Pen Body

This custom pen body adds an interesting geometric touch to an ordinary pen. It's designed to work with the Bic Cristal pens' refill, which can be found on Amazon at http://amzn.to/2lndAQm. Print Settings: Printer: Dremel Idea Builder Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: High/Fine Infill: 100% Notes: I used Simplify3D software and my Dremel Idea Builder to print the pen body with PLA filament, setting the resolution to High and infill at 100%. The software added supports on the inside, but I removed them manually as they were difficult to remove. Instead, I added manual supports on each end and printed it with one flat side down for stability. I designed this pen in Fusion 360 by first measuring and modeling the Bic Cristal pens' refill. Then, I created a model of the pen body around it. Before making the final design, I tested different hole diameters for the ink refill in several "pen tip" prototypes to find the perfect size hole for smooth flow.
