hexacopter for 615 motors
thingiverse
I've got several orders of racestar motors that came with 615's by mistake, and they've been piling up over time. This prompted me to build a micro drone. Initially, I tried remixing existing frames for use with x4 but didn't have much success - the rig was too heavy for these tiny motors. It flew, but barely held its position in the air. This led me to design a lighter frame with 6 motors, but I couldn't find one that suited my needs. So, I decided to draw it myself. I created two standard configurations, X and H, designed specifically for use with F3 EVO V2 six motor controllers available online. There are modifications for both types of controllers: one for a controller with female plastic plugs soldered onto the board, which is larger, and another with standard dimensions. Both have elastic band hooks and motor stoppers to secure everything in place.
