Hexacopter Build

To construct your hexacopter, use wooden and printed parts with a Printrbot Simple. Begin by printing all the necessary components, except for six motor mounts and six landing gear sets (each consisting of leg 1 and leg 2). The parts are designed to fit 15mm pine; you will need approximately 4.5m of it or three 1.5m lengths. Cut the wooden arms to 45cm and insert them into the bottom coupling. Drill holes through the arms using the coupling as a guide, then secure the top coupling with 3mmx20mm screws. Attach six motor mounts and install motors by screwing 3mmx18mm screws from the bottom of the wood, through the mount, and into the motor. Secure each mount to the arm using small self-tapper screws at the narrow part of the mount, drilling holes first with the mount as a guide.
