Hexa Leaf Panel

Hexa Leaf Panel

Inspired by the innovative Nanoleaf Light Panel Replica created by Harvahammas on Thingiverse, I designed this unique project. It's built in a hexagonal form, similar to the original Nanoleafs. To bring this project to life, you'll need: 1x Arduino Nano microcontroller 3x wires in different colors for connectivity 1x LED strip WS 2812 for vibrant lighting effects 1x Soldering station with solder for precise connections Per connection point, use two M4x10 cylinder head screws and two M4 nuts to secure the panels Time is of the essence when assembling this project. The Arduino Nano is connected in a similar configuration as the Nanoleaf one: 5V, Gnd, and Data Pin 6. I adapted Harvahammas' Code for my needs, as I was connecting too many panels, causing the Nano to overheat. To dim the LEDs, I added the setBrightness feature, setting it to 100 (max.255). If you're using fewer panels or want full brightness, simply change the value to 255 or delete the line "FastLED.setBrightness(100)". Here's a breakdown of the Code: * define NUM_LEDS 132: adjust this number to match the total count of your LEDs * k<22 and sum = i+j+k*22; determines the number of panels you're using * i<6 and sum2 = i+k*6; defines the number of LEDs per panel * delay(20) controls the speed of color changing I'm not a skilled coder, but I managed to figure this out through trial and error. If you spot any mistakes, feel free to correct me. After attaching the panels and wiring the LEDs, there was limited space for the strip and cables. To address this issue, I bent the edges upwards, resulting in some shadows. To alleviate this problem, I adjusted the distance between screw holes, ensuring sufficient space for future builds. The cover features a 0.5mm-thick transparent bottom, allowing the light to pass through. Since I only needed two parts with hangers, that's all you'll find in this version. If you require alternative designs, please let me know or comment below, and I'll create them for you. For optimal printing results, I recommend using a layer height of 0.25mm. This project was printed in PLA White material. Update: November 2nd, 2019 - Original Inventor Files have been uploaded for modification. Update: March 20th, 2019 - The Hexa Leaf Stand has been added to the design.
