Hex Wings
cults3d
Schlem suggested using a hex-to-1/4" adapter on a previous socket driver upload, which seemed like a viable idea. However, I didn't have any adapters readily available, but upon searching for one, I stumbled upon a hex drive socket that serves the same purpose for my specific use case. Although not as versatile as using an adapter, 3D printed wings can be easily paired with a hex adapter or any other hex bit. The inner hex measures 6.8mm along its shortest diameter (flat to flat). It's likely that you'll need to adjust the scale of your hex bits, taking into account printer settings, shrinkage, and other factors. You also have the option to make it taller or shorter as needed. Printed on a RigidBot, this project uses a variety of filaments. For a comprehensive list, please visit thrinter.com.
