Hex Towers: A Stacking Game with HexErect Pieces
prusaprinters
Hex Towers is a game that uses the tetrahexes from HexErect to make a challenging balancing tower game.Hex Towers comes with two rounded base options that serve as the foundation for your tower. You can choose between a small or large base (large shown here), depending on your preference and printing capabilities. The base has a gentle circular curvature that makes it fun to try and balance the blocks on top of it.The goal of Hex Towers is to stack the shapes on the base and try to build the tallest tower possible without toppling it. It works well either for 1 or 2 alternating players, particularly if you print 2 sets of pieces, each in their own unique color. You can use any combination of HexErect shapes, either hollow or solid (both are provided). Each block has a different shape, making them fun to identify and combine.Hex Towers is a game that requires both creativity and logic. You have to find the best way to arrange the blocks and make them fit together. You also have to consider the weight and stability of the tower, as it can collapse at any moment. The game is over when the tower falls or when you run out of blocks. If you find yourself running out of blocks frequently.. print more blocks or use the smaller tower base :) Provided in 3MF, STEP, and Fusion360 files for people to modify as they wish! Note: Tetrahexes are the set of all polyhexes with four hexagons. Polyhexes are polygons made of regular hexagons joined edge to edge. There are exactly seven different tetrahexes, and they are all non-superimposable, meaning you cannot rotate or flip them to make them look the same. This increases the challenge of the game vs common squares-based Tetra Tower type stacking games that can be found in many places online.
