Design a Customized Holder for Hexagon-Shaped Tiles Create a tailored holder to keep game components organized, perfect for those with hexagon-shaped tiles in their collections. To get started, specify the diameter of your tile, measured from point to point across its center. For a comfortable fit, add a few millimeters to ensure a loose hold. Next, define the length of the inside container. This will determine how spacious or compact your holder is. Lastly, choose the wall thickness, which can be either 1.2 mm or 1.6 mm for added stability. These options are popular choices among makers. You may also want to consider adding a lid to your container. Simply specify its thickness and, optionally, add a "fudge" factor to account for any print errors that might cause the lid to fit snugly or loosely. The default lid fit is relatively tight, but you can adjust it to suit your needs. For inspiration, take a look at examples based on Mayfair's version of Catan tiles and Neuroshima Hex v3.0 army tiles. When you're done, feel free to use the OpenScad file as a library for future projects.
