Hex Table V4

Hex Table V4

This table, designed for group use, forms a hex pattern when 3 or 6 are arranged together. It's crafted from 3/4" material via CNC machine, with prototypes made using 1/8" hardboard panels and scaled on the laser cutter. Adjustments to tool size will be needed for CNC production. Google Sketchup PRO was used for design, exporting components to DWG format after placing them on a flat surface in the software. Viewing in Parallel Projection helped avoid scaling errors. A corrected export was then imported into Corel Draw on the laser engraver's computer and scaled 1:6 for engraving and cutting. The most recent design version includes changes for easier leg assembly and a locking shelf. Laser cutter settings for 1/8" Masonite involve black engraving for table top letters and red cutting; blue was untested. Turning off the z-axis and manually adjusting the depth with the gauge is recommended.
