Human: Hex Stackers offer compact, clip-together storage compartments perfect for showcasing or organizing small items. These simple prints provide a clever stand-up solution for housing miniature models, collectibles, jewelry, cherished 3D prints, and assorted parts. Printed on an accurate machine, they secure tightly together and can be stacked in creative arrangements to form an intriguing pile. However, precise tolerances required for these clips might test some machines, so print a couple to verify their performance before printing large quantities... they print beautifully in PLA on MakerBot Replicator 2s and fifth-generation Replicators. At standard size, each Hex Stacker stands 50mm tall (from flat to flat). They can be scaled up as needed but scaling down might compromise clearances, causing the components not to fit together seamlessly. These Hex Stackers are efficient in filament usage due to their slender walls, yet they require a substantial amount of print time since they comprise only outlines. Still, the results justify the investment of machine time. Begin by printing three or four compartments and add more as your storage needs increase.
