Hex Stackers are compact clip-together storage containers perfect for display or organizational use. They're easy prints that yield a sleek and modern standing storage solution ideal for small items, such as collectables, jewelry, 3D printed miniatures, and various knick-knacks. When printed accurately on a reliable machine, these compartments snap together securely and can be stacked in numerous configurations to create an eye-catching arrangement. However, the precise tolerances required for successful assembly might pose a challenge for some machines, so it's recommended to print a few test pieces beforehand to ensure they work smoothly with your specific printer. Hex Stackers perform exceptionally well when printed using PLA on MakerBot Replicator 2s and 5th Generation Replicators. At standard scale, each compartment measures 50mm in height (flat to flat), and they can be scaled up if desired, although scaling down may compromise the clearance between parts, potentially affecting their ability to clip together. One of the advantages of Hex Stackers is that they require minimal filament due to their thin walls, but printing them does take a significant amount of machine time because each compartment consists of outlines rather than infill. To optimize print efficiency, start by printing 3-4 compartments and add more as needed. Before commencing the print job, please review the provided instructions carefully.
