Hex Slide Box 1

Hex Slide Box 1

I've been experimenting with various designs for compact containers that can hold jewelry or other small items. These are boxes designed to be printed on an MPMD, allowing for individual sizes that are small yet capable of combining into larger units by sliding them together. This is my latest Hex design iteration, featuring an interior shape that deviates from a standard hexagon in order to optimize interior space. Multiple height versions are available, all sharing compatibility with each other. To ensure proper clearances before printing, you can either print the 5mm version or slice a thin section for testing purposes. Please note that tight clearances require a well-calibrated printer to avoid any issues during assembly. I'm not entirely satisfied with the joint sizes in relation to the overall container dimensions, so I plan on revisiting the design to incorporate smaller joints or expand the inner opening while potentially adjusting it to conform to a standard hexagonal shape.
