Hex Silencer for J&J Ceramic Barrel on Tippmann TiPX
thingiverse
This is an aesthetic/non-working silencer! Most aesthetic silencers for the TiPX are extensions to the stock barrel. That is great, but I wanted this look with a functioning barrel to provide a more accurate shot. The J&J Ceramic barrel with A5 threads is a great addition to the TiPX for a bit more accuracy. This silencer fits over the barrel to provide the look of a silencer. The orientation of it is specific - it is designed to have the holes align with the porting + grooves on the barrel to avoid interfering with the function of the barrel. There are 2 holes on the bottom for 2.5mm set screws, if you want, to ensure the silencer doesn't move during gameplay. One end of the silencer (the back end) has an internal lip, designed to fit tightly against the barrel. For me, it just barrel (with some work) fits over the back of the barrel when I slide this into place. If you find it is too tight with your print (printer precision obviously varies), just take an awl and scope out the lip a bit until it fits.
