I acquired a collection of hey key screwdrivers that I use frequently. The smaller sizes are challenging to identify as the print on the handle has worn off. My intention was to create a stand with clear labeling. The stand was constructed from 20 mm laminated plywood and additional aluminum-polyethylene-compound material (Aludibond), which I used for my Leaflet Display project. Laminated plywood proved to be an ideal material for engraving the size labels. Engraving it to a very shallow depth of 0.4 mm ensured that the white surface was milled away and the black laminate showed through. Aludibond can be bent perfectly if you use a specialized tool, such as a BOX-Router Bit. The parts were cut using my Stepcraft desktop cnc-machine with a spiral-toothed 3 mm flute for the wood and a 2 mm single-flute end-mill to cut the compound-material. I drilled the holes for mounting the screws and for the screwdrivers itself with a drill-press. Before assembly, I applied oil to the wood. Four round self-adhesive felt feet were added to finalize the build and provide a secure stand. For more interesting designs, visit https://www.zenziwerken.de/en/.
