You can continue to modify the case by adding hinges and/or clasps, but I plan to hold them together using leather and eyelets. Update: I have created a model of a lid for the box. I have seen @tomb60's lid as well. The only difference with my model is the presence of two tabs that help with opening. You can decide to model yours with a cutout slot as an added feature to make it easier to open.
