Hex Phone Sound Amplifier

Hex Phone Sound Amplifier

I built a sleek and minimalist amplifier for my phone. No one needs an innovative idea like that, but I required something to clear clutter from my workspace and let me hear music or ring tones all the way across the house! I also desired a design uniquely my own. Check out this working model on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roSVK2uKq50 A modified version of this amplifier won i.Materialise's 3D Printed Wood Challenge (http://i.materialise.com/blog/entry/announcing-five-winners-of-our-3d-printed-wood-challenge). To get a proper fit for your phone, ensure it matches the slot measurements displayed in the picture. I created this amplifier with smaller phones like my Samsung Galaxy S2 in mind; therefore, you may need to upscale the design before printing if using a large phone. Visit https://edditiveblog.wordpress.com/category/phone-sound-amplifier/ to learn more about how I designed it and get information on creating a multi-coloured effect during the printing process by switching filament colours. Enjoy!
