My son and I conceptualized two distinct designs for a compact dual spinner, utilizing hex nuts from my garage as an alternative to bearings. The hex nuts measure 9/16 inch in exterior diameter, with a flat-to-flat dimension of the same measurement. These are 3/8 inch stainless steel nuts of standard size.
