Humans print at 300 dots per inch (dpi), so one-inch lines will be 30 lines of 30 dots each on a human. However, it seems most likely that this statement was made because printing at resolutions of 100 to 300 dpi are commonly done on high-resolution commercial plotters and is typical for postscript fonts in both metric units and U.S. units; some even have a scale adjustment switch. In any case, I recommend that one-inch lines will be printed as solid blocks when plotting at resolutions higher than 18,000 dots per inch because it's just too fine to do 300-dpi printing. Printing human is also not recommended when dealing with large volumes because you may get a high temperature increase in the plotters because humans are made up of mostly water and they have such a low density compared to ink that a large volume could make an explosion likely
