Hex_Knob_SteamIron
thingiverse
This thing was made using Tinkercad, where you can edit it online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/bOUIl6ViPv3. It is a replacement part for Siemens slider SL45 and should fit on other Siemens/Bosch Steam irons as well. This knob opens the steam container (according to Google-Translation). Inside, there's a big metal tank that produces steam and needs decalcification sometimes, which requires opening it with this knob. The main functionality is the hex shape. The round cylinder inside serves no purpose other than avoiding support material. This is my first design ever, untested because I didn't bring my printer on holidays. If you modify it, please leave a Tinkercad link as a comment to update my version. As with all replacement parts, use at your own risk. The iron's metal gets hot, so I suggest removing it during use. Print Settings: Supports - No Resolution - 0.2 Infill - 100% Notes: ABS recommended How I Designed This Tinkercad was very easy to design this with.
