We built a basic framework for my daughter's kite, and it turns out to be well-suited for 5mm OD rods. The kite flies smoothly. We used strong fishing line (30kg) to link the ends together. The kite is crafted from lightweight parachute material. The rods are made of high-quality carbon fiber. Attached are the Autocad Inventor files.
