I wanted to be able to drop my hex keys on any steel work surface, such as my mill, lathe, etc. The blind holes in the sides are for 3mmx2mm magnets. You will want to install them all such that the north poles of the magnets are to the exterior, i.e. the left, while the south poles of the magnets are to the exterior on the opposite side, i.e. the right side.
