Hex-Gyroid Fidget Toy
prusaprinters
The hexagon is one of my favorite geometric shapes for designing, so I created this fidget. It has an eyelet and can also be used as a necklace, as a Christmas tree decoration and - last but not least - also as a calibration test for your printer. If you want a larger version, just scale it up.Notes:Print with a maximum of 0.4 mm line width and 0.2 mm layer height. This model has a tight fit. If you cannot separate the individual rings, here are a few suggestions to help:carefully loosen the object from the print bed with a knife, ring by ring, from the outside in,print slower (20 mm/s for walls),reduce flow by 1 to 2%,retract the walls of the object by a few hundredths of a millimeter (in Cura with the "Horizontal Expansion" setting and in PrusaSlicer with "XY Size Compensation").If nothing helps, let me know in the comments - I will then upload a version with larger tolerances.Do you like it?If you have printed this toy and you like it, I would be happy if your make is uploaded.
