Hex Guitar Pick
thingiverse
A guitar pick sporting an embossed hexagonal design on top. The pattern consists of two distinct layers that were separated to improve its print quality on a FDM machine, which I had the opportunity to test in conjunction with Cura and Slic3r. I have printed this design in ABS plastic and was pleased to discover that it sounds clear when played. The textured surface proved quite useful for grip purposes. Print Settings: Printer: Any Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: None Notes: It's essential to print at a resolution of 0.1mm layer heights, while the first layer may be thicker; still, it should always remain a multiple of 0.1mm for accurate reproduction of the surface pattern. My printer has a nozzle diameter of 0.3mm, but theoretically, this design should function well with nozzles up to about 0.5mm in size.
