Hex Drill Bit Case (TPU) For 13Pcs Drills 6.5mm-1.5mm
thingiverse
I picked up a set of hex drills that range from 6.5mm to 1.5mm, and they were super affordable with no packaging whatsoever. So I came up with a design that's small in size, easy to access with a small electrical screwdriver, and accommodates the large tolerance of those cheap hex bits. I printed it out using TPU, and it turned out fantastic - the friction on the drills is just right where it needs to be. Keep in mind that this design is specifically for flexible materials. If you were to print it with PLA, the retainer clip would end up being too stiff, and the clearance needed for the fit friction would be off. To get the best results, set your support angle to 89 degrees, use a temperature of 215°C, build three walls, and go for infills that are at least 80% dense. Once you've got both parts printed, simply put them together, then take some 95.5mm PLA filament, cut it down into a hinge shape, and insert it into the designated holes. If you're looking to print this case with PLA instead of flexible materials, just let me know in the comments.
