I had a weak 50W bulb at my desk for a long time which almost gave no light at all. Looking around on the internet I took some inspiration of lighting truss to make this ceiling light using some GU10 sockets and 15W GU10 LED bulbs. The frame just clicks onto the mounting ring with some latches, easy to mount and take down. Now I can finally see what I'm building whilst doing so! The mounting has 2 holes in it for screws with a 66mm spacing, this should be "standard" for Dutch light fixtures. Don't have a printer yourself? Contact me on my Etsy store and I'll be happy to print it for you: https://www.etsy.com/shop/XDr4g0nX3DPrinting Print Settings Printer: Gemstock MK2 - Almandine Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0,20mm layer height Infill: 20%-50% Filament: REAL PLA Black \ Silver Notes: Make the mounting ring stronger then the rest of the parts, this because it will bear all the weight of the light on it. The rest of the parts are fine to be lighter. Print 6 of the edges and 3 of the truss beams, glue the edges together and slide the truss trough the electronics box outward and fasten them using M3x10mm bolts and nuts.. Then mount the truss to the edges with M3x10mm. Then use M3x12-16mm bolts and nuts to mount the GU10 LED bulbs into the clamps and M3x12mm bolts and nuts to assemble the pivot of the clamp. Use a M3x10mm bolt to mount the LED clamp/pivot to the frame. Solder/build the electronics for the lamp. Then just mount the ring and click the lamp frame in place over the mounting ring. Post-Printing Assembly Glue the hex together alternating the openings up and down. Category: Decor
