Hex bowl container
prusaprinters

A hexagonal shaped container for small parts during assembly. Due to the shape and the rounded corners, it is easy to grab even the smallest parts with our fingers from that container.

42mm heigh, 90mm wide, so that a human hand can comfortly operate inside and outside the container.

Two versions of the container are uploaded as STL files. One with 1.5mm wall width, the other filled. Use the filled container with cura's 'spiralize outer contour' or 'hollow out' function to create containers with thinner walls.

I have done a number of single walled containers they work very well.

Print Settings

Printer:

startt tronxy tx100

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2mm

Infill:

-

Notes:

The single transparent bowl next to the red/orange/yellow stack was done with 3DK PLA Kristall filament. This is the best transparent filament ever. It sticks well on blue painters tape without heatbed, and the print had no problems at 215°C and 100mm/s, normal flow. With taulman t-glase, I had to start with 230°C and 30mm speed to make it stick at all. extra strands and knots formed on the bottom layers, when going above 110% flow. But for the single-pass wall, I had to increase flow to 150% to make it nice and shiny.

Category: Containers
