This is the latest version of our hex bore encoder housing that's specifically designed for use with an Andymark 57 sport gearbox, despite retaining the internals of a Vex versaplanetary encoder. We successfully employed this version on our 2018 robots. It's essential to keep in mind that you should lubricate the internal components with non-conductive grease and avoid applying any axial loads to the housing itself. Given PLA's tendency to deform at low temperatures, minimizing friction is a crucial consideration.
