Hex Bit Keychain tool - The Capsule
thingiverse
A versatile keychain that doubles as a 1/4" / 6.35mm hex-bit screwdriver, capable of storing up to 10 hex bits in total. The two halves can be easily screwed together. The center bit is securely gripped due to its tapered design, ensuring it won't fall out even when the screwdriver is turned upside down. However, the center bit must be flipped around for storage purposes. Customization options are available to add a custom image or logo to the base of the center hex bit. Unfortunately, this feature does not work in the customizer due to a missing library, so it's recommended to use the OpenSCAD client instead. A bash script called RenderCapsuleModels.sh can be used to render STLs provided from the scad file. Note that this openSCAD model requires RevK's ISO/UTS thread OpenSCAD library, which can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2158656. The design of this keychain took over a month to complete, and it's now ready for you to enjoy. If you decide to print it, please post your make so others can see the finished product. Update 2019-06-16: A fix has been applied to resolve an issue with the missing keyring hole caused by a change from Radius to Diameter. Update 2019-06-18: The size of the hex bits has been fine-tuned, and the model has been made slightly smaller and more compact to improve stringing issues found on the lower half.
