Hex Bit Holders
thingiverse
This is a simple collection of holders designed to store extra 1/4 driver hex bits I had accumulated. Initially, I created this project because I wanted to mount a set of bits near my printer for repairs or modifications to the printer. The included files feature holders with and without tabs for hanging. Additionally, there's an extra small version that I used for the remaining bits I had, as well as various sizes incorporated just for experimentation with OpenSCAD. The OpenSCAD file is also provided in case you need a different size. Raft and support usage are entirely optional. Depending on the holder, I applied different settings. I preferred using supports for the tab, while most of the time, the raft ensured consistency because I didn't want to slow down the print process to a crawl for that initial layer. For the extra small versions, I found it best to use the raft and adjust the print settings starting with .1 resolution for the first two layers before switching to .2 for faster printing.
