Hex base team markers for games like Battletech
thingiverse
These are simple visual markers that you can snap on to your Battletech mech bases to use color coding to indicate teams. They're sized to perfectly fit on commercially available Catalyst Battletech mech bases, by snapping them on or off the base. I included a version without any numbers, but players may like the ones numbered 1-9 to further differentiate mechs within each team, as well as use as an indicator for the forward facing hex side. The numbers are raised, but I found a little paint on the raised numbers increases contrast and makes them more visible (see example photo). (To snap them in, I suggest you first wedge the front face of the mech base all the way down in place inside the marker, then apply a little pressure to push in the rear end of the base forward and down until it snaps into it's seated position within the marker.)
