Hex Armor Plates

Hex Armor Plates

thingiverse

A buddy sent me a link to an article about experimental hexagonal body armor. I decided to take a stab at making some for kicks; it turned out to be a simpler design than I anticipated. However, while the originals were attached to a firm backing, these just have holes for sewing them onto canvas instead. Needless to say, these are more for show than any actual protection. As I was stoked about Deserts of Kharak (then called Shipbreakers), I whipped up some variants with the Long March Heavy Industries logo. If you want to add your own, I'll be happy to share the SolidWorks files for easier editing.
