HEVO Reinforced Y Carriage
thingiverse
This is my modification to the XY carriage. Made to be printed on the side, this design provides better layer stiffness against the bearing. Double clamps secure the X rod in place, reducing play and vibrations of the rods. Works seamlessly without requiring further modifications and maintains the same carriage travel. The included Endstop flag is fully compatible with the original endstop holder. For Misumi LMUW10 users with 54mm bearings, you may need to adjust the bearing position slightly. Try placing it inside the XY motor mount for better stability and reduced play. All parts print effortlessly without supports when oriented correctly. I've successfully printed them using both PETG and Nylon with Carbon (AddNorth Adura X) materials. --- 29/09/2019 --- The V3 version features tighter fittings for 8mm rods, replacing the original 8.4mm size. The new V3 SquareNut version uses 5.4x1.7mm square nuts and has larger holes of 5.8x2mm. It also includes a deeper part to accommodate a NyLoc nut with 4mm depth. Here are the required screws: * 10mm M3 for securing the 8mm rods on the outer end. * 12mm M3 for holding the 8mm rods on the inner end. * 30mm M3 for the Nyloc nut. A 28mm Hexagonal nut also works in this position.
