This is a remix of the outstanding work by Xcion that enables the Y-axis rod to be effortlessly slid in from the side. My rods are precisely the same length as the gap between the extrusions, which meant I had to remove either this mount or the motor mount prior to this modification to install the rod. This streamlined approach makes life much simpler for me and allows me to rapidly swap out bearings or bushings on my Y-axis to test various configurations. Be sure to visit the original thing to obtain the alignment tool or if you require alternative sizes, such as rods or bearing holes.
