Hevo corexy system
thingiverse
This is a key component of my Hypercube Evolution build. It's the complete corexy system, with motors relocated to the back and front idlers supporting belt tensioning via red nuts. Features: - Belt tensioning on the front of the printer - Motors positioned at the rear - Belts flipped so only two toothed idlers are used per belt (which may help reduce ringing) - This design is probably too specialized for my build, but it might be useful for others My dimensions are as follows: * 420mm x extrusion * 410mm y extrusion * 400mm x 10mm y axis rod * 450mm x 10mm x axis rod This corexy system is designed to work with 10mm rods on the Y and X axes. You'll need the following components: - LM10LUU bearings (x2) - LM10UU bearings/IGUS bushings/printing bearings (I use 10mm bronze bushings with an LM10UU adapter) (x3) - 20T toothless idlers (12 pieces, 3mm bore) - 20T toothed idlers (2 pieces, 3mm bore) - 20T pulleys for NEMA17 motors (x2) - NEMA17 motors (x2) - Bare microswitches as endstops (x2) (since I'm using a Duet and it works for me) - Mostly M3 screws and nuts - M5 x 10mm screws for mounting, along with T nuts Usage options: - You can use only the front idlers and back motor mounts, along with the default Hypercube Evolution Y carriage and X assembly. - My Y carriage and X axis assembly, along with the Hypercube Evolution adapter. - My Y carriage and X axis assembly, along with my BMG direct extruder (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3518138). The back motor mounts can be swapped to have motors facing down. Optional: This design is intended for use with piezo bed leveling. There's a piezo disc housing bolted to the X carriage. You can add small springs between the carriage and mounting plate, and also need an M3 screw (button head or grub screw) in the mounting plate to push into the disc.
