HEVO BMG style direct drive Extruder
thingiverse
I've always yearned for a direct drive extruder on my Hevo because the Bowden setup was the sole aspect of my Hypercube Evolution that left me unfulfilled. Since every other extruder seemed excessively heavy in my opinion, I decided to craft one from scratch. I opted for components readily available at affordable prices from Ali or BG or any comparable store simply because this project was intended as a test. Nonetheless, it functions flawlessly and has become my go-to extruder for my everyday printer. Now I'm able to print flexible filaments alongside PLA, ABS, PETG, Nylon, and other materials without encountering any issues. I employed BMG clone gears, a 20mm stepper motor, and a 3D Touch sensor in conjunction with a V6 hotend. Given that I'm utilizing an all-metal hotend, I selected a 45.4 mm PTFE tube to ensure a precise fit. If you print this design, please feel free to show your appreciation.
