Here's what you all think: The alternative HEVO belt tensioner is finally here. This edition features 3D printed parts, with laser cut aluminum versions coming soon. Updated on November 11, 2018, I've added two sets of independent belt pulley tensioners. To assemble this tensioner, simply print two gear holders (make sure the countersinks are facing together in the middle) and a backplate. Here's what you need to get started: * M5 nuts and bolts (2 sets) - nylon preferred * M6 T-nuts and bolts (4 sets) - for bolting onto 3030 extrusions * 20-tooth GT2 pulleys (4) * Long M3 countersink bolts (4 sets) - around 16mm+ * M3 nuts (4) - 1mm+ thick, nylon preferred * M5 washers (2) - OD ~10mm * M3 washers and spacers - varies for shimming your gears. Make sure there's some free play to avoid binding.
