I designed these gears specifically to minimize the gear ratio for my Ultimaker setup. The result is completely silent retractions when paired with SilentStepSticks stepper drivers, assuming a speed of less than 20mm per second. To get optimal results, remember to update your Controller or firmware Estep parameters to 530.1 from the default setting of 865.8. For best performance, print at speeds below 50 mm/s and enable combing in retraction mode.
