Hero Me Gen5 CR10-V2 Gantry Adapter - better air flow+alignment+fit
thingiverse
I noticed a reduction in cooling of the V6 clone heatsink on the CR10-V2 compared to the stock cooling. So I added some vents into the adapter plate to allow the air to escape, makes a slight improvement. I also added ~3.02mm to the the thickness to bring the nozzle back into the same alignment as the original this allows you to use standard direct drive brackets designed for the CR10-V2 without the need for redesign of the direct drive mount. The final change is I added captive nuts for mounting to the back plate so it makes it MUCH easier to fit this way round with bolts going in from the back like the stock enclosure. Added bonus the original BLTouch mount on the right hand side fits behind front mounted 4020s. I used the original as a template and knocked it up in Fusion 360, probably can be improve but its better than the stock part for me at least. Added the Fusion 360 f3d files if you want to modify yourself. I added the vests against the backplate as I assumed that is where the most pressure would be but may be better at the front of the adapter
