Hero Me Gen 3 - Hole Fix

Hero Me Gen 3 - Hole Fix

Based on the design by mediaman. Many people, including myself, appreciate the HeroMe design, but find that the holes to mount the actual duct below are too wide and loose, making it impossible to secure properly. This issue arises because measuring with a vernier caliper, the diameter of the screws including their threads is 1.9mm, while the holes made in this design measure 2.7mm - significantly larger. To address this problem, I created a remix of the original design, modifying the mounting holes to 1.6mm. This adjustment allows the threads of the screw to properly cut into the plastic PLA, resulting in a secure and snug fit when screwed in. I tested this revised design with an electric screwdriver and was pleased to find that it mounts beautifully. Perhaps others will appreciate this fix as well. Customized using 3ds Max.
