This upgrade enhances my previous Hero Me remix by allowing the use of a Titan (clone) extruder mounted in Direct Drive configuration. Unlike many designs, my motor is positioned over the X axis for better weight balance. The assembly process is straightforward and follows the steps outlined in my Hero Me E3D V6 Cooling for the Eryone Thinker printer. The BOM remains identical, with only a few additional components required. To assemble this upgrade, follow these basic steps: mount the Titan extruder and motor after completing the rest of the assembly. This involves adding the Titan extruder and motor once the main structure is in place. The primary difference from my previous design lies in the need to push a small length of Bowden PTFE tube through the PC4-M10 pneumatic coupler while it's attached to the V6 heatsink, then cutting it flush with the top of the coupler. Next, push the small PC4-M10 adapter into place to secure the coupler and prevent the PTFE tube from moving up. This adapter also provides a guide for the filament. To assist in understanding this process, I've taken photos during my own assembly. You can see the PTFE tube removed from the heatsink after it's been pushed all the way down and cut flush with the coupler. Assemble the Titan and motor on Base 2 before placing it into position. To do this, insert the left side of base 2 diagonally as shown in the next picture, then proceed to place the rest of the assembly without any constraints. If you've already printed my previous E3D V6 mount and don't want to reprint the Base 1 again, cut the wire guide flush with the top of the part to provide clearance for the Titan Extruder. Then, print the Base 2 and adapter, and you're ready to go. This was my approach when prototyping: printing only what I needed to save time. The next evolution of this design will involve using a Bondtech BMG direct drive extruder once mine is delivered.
