This upgrade offers an improved version of the Hero Me remix that allows users to mount a BMG (clone) extruder as Direct Drive. Unlike many other designs, my motor is positioned over the X axis to provide better weight balance. The assembly process is relatively straightforward and can be completed by following the steps outlined in my previous guide for the Eryone Thinker printer's Hero Me E3D V6 Cooling setup. The bill of materials (BOM) remains identical, and the assembly procedure is largely the same, with only minor adjustments required to accommodate the BMG extruder and motor. One key difference in this design is that users need to push a small length of bowden PTFE tube through the PC4-M10 pneumatic coupler while it's attached to the V6 heatsink, then cut it flush with the top of the coupler. Next, the small PC4-M10 adapter is pushed into place to secure the coupler and prevent the PTFE tube from moving upwards, also providing a guide for the filament. To facilitate assembly, I've taken pictures of my own process, showcasing some of the key steps involved. Specifically, you can see the PTFE tube removed from the heatsink after it's been pushed all the way down and cut flush with the coupler. When installing base 2, start by inserting its left side diagonally as shown in one of the pictures; then, the rest will fit into place without any constraints. If you've already printed my previous E3D V6 mount and don't want to reprint Base 1, simply cut the wire guide flush with the top of the remaining part to provide clearance for the Titan Extruder. Then, print Base 2 and the adapter, and you'll be ready to go. The next step in my series of Hero Me remixes will involve porting both DD designs to the CR-10 and Ender3. Fortunately, I've already started printing the Titan DD for CR-10//Ender 3.
