Created on the 5th of July, Hero Hand is a cutting-edge 3D printed bionic hand tailored for a five-year-old boy. The prosthetic functions using muscle signals from the user's arm to open and close its hand. Designed to accommodate any child's arm size, it secures with straps and features easily replaceable parts that prevent outgrowing. Emphasizing both functionality and aesthetics, Hero Hand can be customized into a child's favorite hero character by printing three new parts. The prosthetic includes two covers that protect electronics while featuring the 3 servos controlling its movement. With grip, pinch, and index finger mobility, this affordable, customizable, and adaptable bionic hand empowers young children to feel like superheroes.
