Hermera Part Cooling Duct (another one)
thingiverse
Here's another part cooling duct for the Hermera exstruder/hotend assembly. Mine only blows from one direction across the nozzle. Permanoob beat me to the punch on posting this, and his design is great too! I used 22.5 degrees as my fan mount angle and I have yet to install it onto my printer. (waiting for fan to arrive) The instructions and inspiration that Permanoob described pretty much are what I used to create my design. My duct mounts with two M3 x 8mm socket head cap screws. 12/08/19: I updated the model file to center the duct to the hotend and to provide more vertical adjustment of the duct. 12/08/2019: Corrected fan mount hole error. I apologize for my mistake. Small extra feature on the part as I couldn't quickly figure out how to remove it. Will correct at a later date. 12/13/09 Updated model with more accurate fan mount. 01/05/2020: Printed the TeachingTech torture test and had a section fail near the end of the job. The rest of the part looks good and the spire and curved parts look good too. I'm also happy how the unsupported bridge came out, just a few strands drooping at each end. I used HatchBox White PLA printed at 195C temp. 01/05/2020: Reprinted the torture test in a new location on the Ender 5 print bed and had success. Same filament, temp, and settings. I think the Ender 5 print bed is prone to vibration or tugging by the molten filament when printing in the area closest to the front of the machine.
